Webasto starts with the remote but not in MID!?

Hello.

I have a bmw 2001 525i Touring.

The car has :

S536A
Standheizung




as a factory option.
However mine was faulty when i bought the car so i ordered a new one. So this is the problem:

When i use the remote (original with the antenna) the webasto fires up and runs for as long as 30minutes but doesnt turn on the ventilation fan...

when i use timer function or press the HEAT on in the MID nothing happens but it flashes red in the MID led light...

Any ideas whats the problem here?

What is a "webasto?"

It sounds like a fault in the HVAC control panel. Requires a BMW computer analysis.

This is an option not offered here in the States. The OP is going to need a forum member from Europe...preferably someone from the Scandinavian and/or Norcic countries & territories...where this option is commonly found.

Does the OP have the operator's manual for the Webasto heater?

Webasto is the auxilliary heater yes. nordic car :-)
its standheizung in german.
i do not have the manual no. im afraid this is a question of coding/ recoding ...
i have a fully functinal inpa diagnostic computer but im not able to connect to it unfortumatly.
