Hi all,

I'm a huge sporty wagon fan, and it may be time to say goodbye to my '03 Audi S6. It is relatively low mileage but I'm not sure I have it in me to put more money in it to do the water pump/timing belt that I fear it needs after only 60K miles. I also have a '06 Volvo V70R manual that has 129K on the clock and will need new pads/rotors soon and some cosmetic repairs- normal maintenance, I know.

With all these repairs looming in the horizon I have new caritis and found a 535 touring manual for sale.... and it's hard to say no. Yet, the mileage is in between my other wagons and I'm in conversation with the seller to get the records.

I'm a little torn- have 2 cars that I know versus the unknown. If I bought the Bimmer I would sell the other two. I'm thinking the devil you know is better than the one you don't....

That said, unique cars are dear to my heart. What say you- sell the other two for the 535 with unknown issues?

If I went newer and low mileage and ditched the wagon fetish, there's a E60 M5 manual that has caught my eye.... so many cars, so little time....

I had 2002 S6 and had a lot of problems with it. You don't want to break that timing belt. Are you still on the original transmission? Mine had the transmission replaced at 75k miles (thankfully by the previous owner). I am not sure getting into a 535i or M5 is going to save a lot on maintenance/repairs but at least they're newer. If you can find an M5 with manual trans vs SMG you are better off...Plus consolidating from 1 to 2 cars will save you money on registration, taxes and insurance.
