Okay so for my second car i wasnt really looking at buying a new car but when i saw the opportunity arise, i took the chance at it!
I recently purchased a Non-Running 1997 BMW 540i from a dealership for a super steal of a deal for only $850!!!! I knew it would be a project car but i truly love working on cars and figured that with such a nice car it would be well worth it.
Next day me and my friend drive back to the dealership and we get the car running within a half hour! :stickoutt I was super excited it was something so stupidly simple as a fuel pump relay! The dealership "Mechanic" had the entire back seat torn apart and disasembled to determine no fuel was going to the engine.... So with a simple stab connecter and some speaker wire i had around i was able to drive this beauty back to my house!
After a few drives i buy a new set of 5 tires (it needed it) and now its onto a new cluctch and flywheel, getting OEM through a friend for only about $500 (Still drives but defenantly slips heavy) Going to be doing the job on my own I have a lift, and friends, and a teacher who knows what he is doing with BMW's :)
Here are some pictures of the new beast! I normaly do my own photoshoots but i didnt want to wait till tomorrow i was so excited to do my first post on the forums!
