Helpful mods to anyone getting into the e36 scene.
1) Need MOAR down force to have optimum handling and to keep m3 from flying :D

2) Need MOAR low to optimize handling characteristics

3)Need to gain TONS of negative camber so get the best lap time

And it's not even like try to make the car perform like it should - or better.
Look, I'm all for the whole "do what you want with your car" bs and what not... but when some idiot slaps on a gajillion degrees of negative camber and lowers it enough to smash the oil pan into oblivion I'm going to call you out...

I agree too.
I will legitimately NEVER understand the point. Why get into cars if you're just going to ruin them? I just cannot believe the amount of people that are infected by the stance virus... especially with E36s... and M3s for that matter.

People buy cars because they want to be cool or fit into certain crowds, "be apart of the scene."
Glad they don't post in this section :)

Those owners need to be dragged out of their cars and beat with a rubber hose. :D

^^ that's being too nice.
Like another poster said, I am all for do whatever you want to your car... most of the time.. But it leaves a really bitter taste in my mouth when people take a car(e36 m3), that was/still is one of the most capable cars in terms of handling, and every mod they do make the car less an less capable, and by the end the car cant do anything but be parked and looked at and have pictures taken of it...

^ only other posers and "stancers" will take pics of those goofy looking cars. I personally couldn't think of a better way to ruin a great car. It kinda reminds me of my teenage years when you dress funny and look funny, and hang a bunch of metal from your face or whatever, just to stand out from the crowd and be cool. Lets be different like everyone else lol.

I am equally appalled, but I am starting to realize that most "car people" have an affection for completely un-car carictaristics. I realized this as someone I know was gushing over the recent $60k purchase of a new Lexus suv. How great the leather is on their seats, how nice the stereo sounds playing pop music, how the camera system worked and the dark color wheels for an aggressive line. I realized then, that a majority of car people justify God awful amounts of money on vehicles (myself included) by trying to appreciate everything about their car that they understand. Comfort/looks/gizmos rank in the forefront in 99 percent of car buyers minds, while how the car they bought actually performs is not of any concern because it would take actual initiative to learn how the mechanicals of their mortgaged home on wheels actually accomplishes it's task.
Seems like a lot to ask for out of someone that is spending a YEARS worth of their wages on a means of transportation. My apology for the rant, but I felt the stance crowd applied to my thoughts of "car people" in general.
Merry Christmas everyone!
