Yesterday was a long and painful experience at work. National weather service was predicting 7 inches of snow when I woke up. This means a constant stream of anxious customers who didn't remember they needed salt, shovels, and snow blowers. Come on, it's mid December, in Milwaukee flippin' Wisconsin, of course it's going to snow!

After a long and aggravating day, I got home and managed to unwind for an hour when my wife informs me that she needs unscented moisturizer for her band new tattoo. Why she couldn't text me this at work where I'm a block away from a grocery store is beyond me but... I climb back into my outdoor gear (those of you familiar with Pelicans DIY articles will know this as a three wrench affair) and head out to the store fuming all the way. Grab the lotion hop back in the car and begin pulling out of the lot. As I'm checking my mirror I notice a mid 2000's Saturn sedan behind me. The owner had installed Audi style LED lights under his headlights! Worse, some of the LEDs were burned out! I spent the rest of the drive home cackling like a witch. I'm not too much of a car elitist, I figure if you own it and it gets you where you're going more power to you. Audi signature style LEDs on a Saturn is kinda like slapping //M badges on a Honda Civic, having bulbs burned out is like leaving the Civic badges on after slapping on the //M badges all over it! Why would you even bother.

Wish I had my phone with me, I could have taken a few pic. Unfortunately, I left it at home so the wife couldn't call me while I was out. Damn her and her new ink!

I see "super sweet" cars like that all the time. It seriously does make you question some people's sanity. The sad part is that the owners of these vehicles truly think they're cool!

that being said, I've seen a few civics and similar cars which I thought were very tastefully modded. If done in moderation and with quality parts, it IS possible to make it look OK. Sadly, this normally isn't the case...

I saw purple Audi style LED lights on a white Ford pick up. At that point I lost my appreciation for those lights.
