View Full Version : Rear Engine Seal carrier bracket

Anyone know the torque specs for the rear engine seal carrier bracket bolts? There are 2 M8 and 4 M6 bolts.
I removed to replace the carrier gasket and engine seal but I'll be damned if I can find it in the Bentley book.

OK, I found a spec sheet on line. 10Nm on the M6s and 22Nm on the M8s.

Yup. Rule for almost all BMW fasteners: 10mm head bolts/nuts (M6) are 10Nm, 13mm heads (M8) are 22-25 depending on application ... I use 23 on all of them.
