From the picture it looks like a very bad power steering fluid leak, could it be the reservoir? I've checked all the hoses and replaced the plast clamp with the new metal ones already...:shifty

No, its the two low pressure hoses attached to the resv, pretty common on almost any older BMW. I'd get a new resv when you replace the hoses because there is a filter built into it.

clean all that up first then you can source where the problem is

When you get the new reservoir check the cap. It will probably say "PENTOSIN CHF11S ONLY". This is wrong for the E36 M3, but BMW sells the same part for older cars like ours that take ATF and newer cars that use CHF11S, and if you have a car that takes ATF in the steering reservoir you're supposed to get a sticker for the cap to make it say "ATF ONLY". Not all places send the sticker with the reservoir (I didn't get one from Pelican; it's an add-on part I didn't order). My recommendation is to remove the o-ring from the new cap, replace the old o-ring on your original cap (the one that says ATF), and just re-use your old cap, unless it is cracked or cross-threaded.

Has anyone used this? The BimmerWorld PS reservoir and lines?

If I happened to find some money on the street or something, Id blow it all on this

I was looking at that recently too. It would be nice to never have to worry about the PS system again, but it costs a pretty penny... I think I'll be doing it when I upgrade to the e46 330 rack.

Actually, the kit could probably be reproduced for much cheaper, just gotta do a little homework.

The connection to the banjo might be a bit difficult to get right, but I'm sure you could find a good generic reservoir to use and maybe do it cheaper

The banjo bolt wouldn't be a problem, modifying the cooling rack to accept the AN fitting is though. It probably has to be cut and flared?? Not sure.

That kit is nice though. Very tempting especially when you look under you car and there is PS fluid everywhere...
