View Full Version : Broke tabs off one of my corner lights, got a fix?

The left one fell out while driving home, when I tried to install it, both tabs broke off. It was cold outside. Is there any way to fix it? I read something about zip ties, but didn't see what people did to secure it.

I know depo has mixed reviews. I've got a 98 estriol blue 4 door and I don't think I like the look of clears on blue cars. I'm undecided on smoked corners though.

Any opinions?

Thanks,
Steve

Here's the pic of the front of my car. Light smoked corners might look nice. I can't decide.

Pretty sure you gotta drill a hole for zip ties

Ill check it out tomorrow. There's no way epoxy will be strong enough.

Go to a junk yard and get one off any e36 sedan. That's probably the best route. I had it happen to me and I used clear silicone to kind of permanently join the headlight and corner light. Worked hood for a year until I replaced the corner light

i've gone through like 3 or 4 sets of corner lights. damn depo headlights...i always drill them now and install zipties to prevent them from flying out but occasionally the zip ties will fail...

Not OEM, but:

Kind of hard to beat that price, even at a junkyard.

put double sided tape on the part that makes contact with the corner lights, held in no problem for over a year plus you do not have to glue or drill!
