Last night i have rewired the loom that passes through from the rear of the car roof lining to the tailgate, powering all of the lighting on the tailgate 2009 E61. There were several completely severed wires and a few others broken through the insulation.
I was able to lock the car normally with the remote key fob and opened it again this morning in the normal manner. I made the same job with the other wiring loom that runs parallel on the right side of the car and up to the underside of the spoiler. Everything there is working ok, except the remote key fob is no longer working. I have checked that there are no short circuits in my wiring and that the White with Blue tracer wire has continuity up to it's plug. The brown earth wires are also good. My glass lid now opens perfectly, the radio works and stores stations, but the remote key fob is still inactive. When I unlock with the key in the lock, then open the door the alarm goes off until I put the key into the ignition.
I have opened up the Diversity Antenna Module and it looks to be good with no sign of damp or corrosion.
Other than replace the Diversity Antenna Module, any ideas?
Is it possible that during my cutting of the wires and replacing I have inadvertently damaged the module? Is there a particular fuse that I need to check?
