Not too long ago I replaced the bushings that caused the 50 mph shake. The mechanic recommended the polyurethane bushings so I went with them.. Ever since, I get these creaking noises when I go over bumps, speed bumps .. Anytime the car dips, bounces or slightly sways, I hear this annoying sound. Should I go back to OEM? The car never made a sound until I got this work done..

The mechanic also owns a 98 il with same bushings and noise..

Some grease may fix it. The re is usually a bronze grease included and with out it you will.most likely have creaking.

Make sure that the suspension is loaded when you torque everything down.

How do you do that when the car is in the air?

You can't
You have to put it.on the ground for the shipping final tightening.

put a jack under the wheel hub. Jack it up to where you think it is when it's sitting.

Polyurethane flexes way less than oem rubber bushings. You have to make sure theyre torqued to specs while loaded. The sound you hear is the whole bushing twisting inside the bracket instead of flexing

Powerflex bushings come with copper grease. Anything other than copper grease will squeak. Also, as others mentioned before, make sure to tighten everything down after the car is on the ground, under load. The suspension will fail prematurely otherwise.
