Super nice 2000 BMW MZ3 setup for Autocrossing Driving Schools, Track Days, and even spirited drives in the mountains. This will easily compete in NASA and SCCA time trials (passed the NASA annual TT tech) as is or put in a full cage and go road racing. It is completely setup for road racing and track use. The car is now weighing in at 2847 pounds and is very well balanced. It is street legal and will pass any emission test. Custom trailer hitch mounted, (but never used )if you want to drive to the track with a small tire trailer. The car is VERY comfortable to drive, as it still has all of its interior and power windows. The AC, cruise, stereo and other random equipment has been removed to save weight. All the parts were pulled very carefully and any exposed wires or holes are sealed allowing the replacement of everything with ease. Nothing was hacked apart. I still have many of the stock parts (AC components, exhaust, etc).

The car has 116k miles, but is extremely clean and very well cared for inside and out.
All cooling system components were replaced less than 20K miles ago, including a stewart water pump and aluminum thermostat housing. Mechanical fan delete. 80 degree C thermostat. Temp never gets above 1/2 and oil always below 260C on track.
OEM Z3M ZF Transmission w/ 40k miles (previous owner bent the 3rd gear shift fork in the old one). New Kevlar clutch setup.
Randy Forbes Dual Ear Subframe Reinforcement (technically it's the truck floor). Randy's kit was installed by a professional body shop experienced with both Randy Forbes kit and the Z3 trunk floor using factory matched paint and components. The Randy Forbes kit contributes to a noticeable difference in torsional rigidity, but is still legal in most spec classes because the original BMW design was flawed. This is extremely important for any Z3 that will be tracked repeatedly.
Rogue Finned 36 Diff Cover.
Ground Control Coil Over suspension with Koni SA's and adjustable camber plates. The stock shock tower reinforcements were modified and mounted above the camber plates, a must for aftermarket suspensions on Z3's.
Turner 30mm Front Sway Bar.
AKG race bushings including 12mm drop bushings in rear to compensate for excessive camber.
AKG shift rod and delrin bushings.
Lightweight turbo flow mufflers
Custom Roll Bar with cross brace and shoulder bar (similar to Hard Dog)
Bride Seats (not FIA), on custom lowered sliders (both driver and passenger)
Crow 2010 5-point belts
Momo steering wheel w/ slip ring. Turn signals cancel, but no horn is installed.
Kosei 17x8.5 K1 Race wheels with Nitto NT05 255 rubber. Square setup.
12mm front / 30mm rear H&R spacers to provide a true square set up (Z3M's stock ET is 8!), Turner extended studs.
Complete E46 M3 oil canister with oil lines and cooler (relocated temp sensor to pan).
Cold Air intake.
All 4 brakes rebuilt (preventatively) with new ATE seals and dust boots.
Motorsport floating front rotors with Hawk HT10 pads.
Drilled rear rotors with Hawk HP+ rear pads.
Fresh ATE Super Blue (I bought a carton of it before it was NLA) Brake Fluid.
Custom 52" APR Carbon rear wing with stock risers and 3" extensions.
Custom Z3M APR Carbon front splitter, gap sealed with factory valence / splitters.
Factory BMW Hardtop
Yellow Laminx Headlight Film
Hinged black front tow hook / paint matched factory rear tow hook.

I bought this car last fall as a stablemate for my Z3 M Coupe. I am extremely experienced in E30, E36, E46 and Z3 ownership, operation, and maintenance. I repair and maintain all of my own cars along many other local BMW's. The car was mostly set up when I bought it. I have all receipts and records from both myself and the previous owner. The first thing I did was have Randy Forbes' kit dual ear diff installed by local high end collision repair shop SVE. I added a Rouge finned E36 diff cover and had the rear exhaust pipes replaced to provide amble clearance for the wider differential mounts. The car has been corner balanced by local performance shop Bimmerhaus . I further tuned the car by adding a 30mm front sway bar and disconnecting the rear sway bar (it is still mounted and can be re-connected in 5 mins). The GC rear springs are stiff enough to compensate for no rear sway. This is the set up of choice by manny E30 (trailing arm rear suspension) track guys.

The car is absolutely fantastic to drive on the track. Turn in is crisp and precise, the rear end happily follows suit in a neutral, yet controllable manner. I have lots of track time in my M Coupe, E30's, and E36 M3's. This M Roadster is the kind of car you strap on, more fighter jet than street car. Compared to an E36 M3 the driving experience is completely visceral. The E36 M3 is an easier car to drive at the limit, but the Z3M will challenge and reward your driving in a way no other car can. It demands the driver coordinate throttle, braking, shifting, and steering inputs, but is docile and predictable enough that even novice drivers can learn it quickly (I've instructed a few from the passenger seat at DE's). Every where it goes the car turns heads from the paddock to Cars and Coffee. I've put 3000 miles on the car since purchasing it, including 6 track days. I am selling due to an impending career change / pay cut. I do not need to sell and am content to wait for the right owner. If you want a car that is unique and challenging, this is the car for you. This is a turn-key car, I would not hesitate to drive it across country or enter it in an enduro event at a moments notice. I have over $20K invested.

Since it's a convertible the stock seat belts connect to the stock roll over hoop base, there is no B pillar. They are removed, but could be reinstalled easily.

That is an amazing deal for that car. If I didn't already have my track prepped e36 m I'd buy it in a heartbeat (and have saved myself thousands vs building mine up!). Glws - this should go fast.
