Hi
when driving the my (3.0i auto, 90,000 mi.) that when I engage the gas pedal there is a slight lack of acceleration, The car feels heavy up to 2500 - 3000 RPM.
Some days the car feels really powerful as soon I engage gas it jumps with a lot of power. The difference is that the RPM needle is lower than normal at 500 - 600 RPM on idle.
I have read on the forum that the problem could be the the MAF. I disconnected it and the problem is still there so it might not be the issue. I also replaced the power plugs, cleaned the fuel injectors, replaced both camshaft sensors, new fuel filter, cleaned the fuel pump and replaced the DISA valve.
After all the cars performance improved a little but the main problem persists.
Does anyone know what these symptoms show? Sometimes when driving uphill or with a heavy load I also feel the lack of acceleration partnered with higher rev form the engine. I can hear the engine getting louder and there is very little acceleration when I give it more gas. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
