1st off thanks for looking at this post..

I am finally in a position to upgrade from my E36 1996 328is to a 335 coupe with all wheel drive. There are several problems I am running into and would like some general advice.

The car I am looking for is a:
2007-2011
335xi or 335i xDrive
Coupe
Manual transmission
Cold weather package
Sport Package
Could take or leave navigation and convenience package
Preferable less than 40,000 miles.
Black or saddle brown leather interior
preferably aluminum trim but could do the bamboo antheracite or other dark dark wood

So;
#1 issue there are very very few of these on the market
#2 is I am torn between a low mile 2007-2009 for around $23-27k with no warranty or a 2010-2011 certified preowned for $32-39k
#3 The damn HPFP, waste gate, and turbo problems scares me towards a warranty (I know the HPFP is covered till 120,000 miles on many of the cars, however I live in Alaska and the only dealership is 145 miles away, so having it towed there could be pretty expensive)
#4 Most of the cars are on the east coast it seems, I am not too worried about the cost of flying down and driving back but the shorter the better.
#5 The dealers don't seem to have much wiggle room, I am pre-approved for $38k at 1-2% APR..
#6 Can seem to find real world fuel economy information on the AWD N54 and N55s (not a big deal but I do drive a lot)

Any info or real life dealings with this would be great, also if you have suggestions of things I might not be thinking about that would be appreciated as well.

(I have been mainly using BMWs preowned and CPO search on their USA site)

I dont have a lot to ad. I would say the turbo and HPFP issues are over blown. Both are guaranteed well beyond the factory warrantee. If you go for a new car you should be able to find a ton of cars. Especially in LA and So Cal with all the lease returns. Older cars are harder to find for some reason. My buddy just got an E93 and there was no inventory anywhere. Mileage? I have a E93. In stop and go traffic I get 19. On the freeway at 80mph I get about 25. But I love to mash the pedal.

If you're looking to spend 32-39k on a CPO, then why don't you just get a new one? I believe new 2013s are can be had for a good money. 328xi with minimal options? Maybe do a EU delivery and travel around Europe for free with the money you saved?
