My friend has a 01' SS...so basically we raced and first gear I had a jump on him by a full car lenght...second gear I see him pulling up next to me...third gear half way trough he was half a car behind but by the end of third he was about a half a car lenght ahead...this is stock SS vs stock E36 ///M3...we ran 4 times same exact results over and over and over...the top end on the SS is just amazing to me...but what do you expect from a 5.7L V8...I would want to see a Euro ///M3 race this SS I think that would be an interesting race :buttrock

That is a lot of passing each other to top of 3rd (90 mph). Did you go into 4th? Who was pulling?

With a good launch the SS should beat a stock E36 M3 in a straight line. Add some turns and the story is different.

Stock vs. stock i would think he would pull you more especially once you hit third gear. This is just based on runs ive had with my friends 01 Z28 in the past with my old E36. I'd be dead nuts with him till we would hit third then he'd pull away. You obviously had the better launch though.

The faster we went the more he pulled I mean after the end my third into 4th he's already ahead pulling on me...top end i have nothing on it...
