Alright the problem is that the transmission is stuck...
I have a 94 325I with the following setup:
M52B28 engine.
F1 chomoly flywheel.
F1 dics and press plate.
ZF transmission
drive shaft from a m3
LSD diff from a M3
this is all new the tranny was in neutral before putting it in and the input shaft spun fine with the guibo not moving while it was in neutral. the diff spun perfectly also.
So here is the problem:
the engine will start with the clutch paddle depressed, in any gear even in neutral this does the problem. but as soon as the clutch engages from letting the paddle out the engine comes to a stop like the input shaft isnt spinging... The car will move in neutral by pushing it with the clutch engaged. ( clutch paddle let out)
Than i tried to put the rear of the car on jack so the wheels are off the ground and also same effect.
What could this be? Im 100% sure the clutch disc is in there correctly which is the raised side is towards the pressure plate.
Its like the input shaft on the transmission isnt moving, could this be possible? I also put longer pressure plate bolts in which extended past the flywheels about a 1/4 inch, but that shouldnt make it a problem if the engine runs which means the flywheel and pressure plate is in motion.
Thanks
