Showed a couple of Subaru's what a Mini can do ;)

Buddy of mine that drives a Subaru STi invited me to the Subaru South africa club advance driving course they are having at Zwartkops (www.zwartkops.co.za) racetrack. Just came back, we started of with various slides and emergency manouvers on the skidpan and then ended the skidpan session with a auto X on it. First run I did I got 43 secs, fastest time so far around the gymkhana, 2nd and last time around I did a 41sec, putting me in 2nd place out of 15 cars, where mine was the only non-subaru ;)
Nothing like a *tight* auto X track to make a Mini shine ;)
Then we went onto the track and got instructed on the fastest and best line around the track, how to enter and exit corners etc. Nothing timed, but everyone was impressed at how well my Mini Cooper handled and moved around the track. :D

you shouldn't be surprised.. my team usually runs against/ with Subarus and STI's although they have more power and beat us uphill, they usually get left behind in the downhill canyon/ togue runs. :buttrock

Replace the 19mm rear swaybar with an aftermarket 22mm bar and the nasty front-drive understeer will be GONE = even better autox times.
