speakers for '88 528e

I need a pair of tweeters (front, side panel) and have tried every online source I could find. I'll probably end up getting something generic from a local audio shop but does anyone know where I can find original BMW speakers?

If you have the tweeter housing that goes on the door by the rearview mirrors, but no tweeters, I would go to the audio store and buy modern tweeters. They will undoubtedly sound better. If you don't have the housings, I can scare up a set for you, but you will likely have to put new tweeters in them. The extra set from my parts car had one blown tweeter...

I don't think that is what I need. The speakers are 4x6 and sit under the dash on both sides of the front (against the outside of the car). They aren't the ones on the door. Appreciate the offer.

Ahhh, OK...

You don't want to put "premium" BMW speakers in that housing. Go and get a new set of 4x6 speakers with tweeters built in. I got a set of Infiniti Kappa 4x6s with a mid-range woofer and a tweeter built in. I also have the tweeters mounted on the doors and it sounds nice...
