Evo vs. e46 M3

I was leaving from school and saw this red convertible m3... the guy was at his 30s maybe...

We weren't racing for a mile or two until we hit the highway... as soon as we get on the exit to get on highway, we hit... once we left the curve and hit on the highway.. i was about a car ahead ..then from 50-110 i had him by about 21/2 car length or so....
I was running about 16psi of boost which is low.. where i could have run 21-22psi peak...


i wanted to give him a thumbs up since i am in love with e46 m3s.. but it was too late he took the exit..

My evo is modded by the way. I am pretty sure stock m3s can take stock evos on the highway...

e46 m3s are pretty damn fast on freeways, i aslo thought that evos are only quick off the line, but i guess they are fast all around, good run.. also i heard that a lightly modded e43 m3 can hit 185mph, can evos do that??

Nice run, I do think that stock vs. stock it would go the the M3 at highway speeds however... oh well, that is why we mod our cars.

Quarter mile on evo and m3s are really depends on the driver. After that, I think M3 can take the evo fairly. But we are talking about stock vs. stock

With some fuel tuning, boost controller and turbo back exhaust you are already in 12s easily.

At very very high speeds, i mean i am talking about 160+, evos can't do much even if it is lightly modded... unless you put some serious mods under your hood.

i dont know of any 4cylinders that do well at speeds above 140(thats even a little high for a fourbanger) excpet F1 cars

There is no way in Hell you would put 21/2 car's on an E46m3 convertible with ur evo. Sad to say lightly modded integra's are faster than ur evo. The power needed to do that in a 60mph range over another car would be a boatload.

i dont know of any 4cylinders that do well at speeds above 140(thats even a little high for a fourbanger) excpet F1 cars
my S2000 was no slouch... nothing compared to the S54 powered bimmers though...

HAHAA, the evo has what, 280hp? An integra with light mods, no. Pop on a turbo and it would be a different story.

2.5 cars is very possible for him to pull on an E46 M3, considering he has a decent number of mods done to his EVO.

Lightly modded Integras?? Integras are slow. EVO's are fast.

Well I said my car is modded. I also said stock evos can't pull on m3s on highway driving. So if I say I pulled on him about 2 car lenghts, expect a heavily modded evo, not lightly modded evo. I am putting down close to 400whp with easy tuning.
I guess it is time to change my signature.

But until 100-110 evos are pretty fast and plus you can't beat for its price... :)

Stis and evos are very comparable in a strait line and we put my sti against a lightly modded e36 m3 it was sad how hard the m3 got pulled and yes I am bone stock.

An STI vs E36 M3 is absolutely no contest unless the M3 has some serious mods. An STI vs E46 M3...i'd have to still put my money on the STI.
