FS 95 BMW M3, 5 speed, Luxury Package, Avus Blue/Black, 225K
Asking $4,500
I originally bought this car from another club member with 146K miles on the clock. I didn't hesitate when he offered it to me. Originally a daily driver but over the years the modifications have placed it as more a track car than a daily driver. Working on this car has also been my therapy. With the right tools this car has been rewarding (not always easy) to work on, mostly drive train, brakes and suspension. I do work under the hood but don’t go into the engine. I've always maintained this M3 and given it what it needed to be reliable but it’s not being used for what it deserves be and I can no longer justify keeping it around as priorities have changed.
As stated, this car has been well taken care of from the beginning and is still running strong. It’s streetable but is geared toward being a track car. Everything is good on this car except for some plastic parts and the AC compressor is shot. Following is a long list of parts installed on the M3.
43K- Dinan performance chip, cold air intake, Euro HFM, Supersprint cat-back, genuine BMW Motorsport Lightweight front strut bar, Dinan sway bars 22mm F/ 21mm R, lightweight flywheel, SS brake lines, short shift kit
150K- Ground Control coil-over kit (serious school/racing setup) w/caster camber plates, 2 sets of springs for kit (low and lower) 7“ 375lb front/7“ 430lb rear and 6“ 500lb front/ 6“ 550lb rear, rear carrier bushings replaced, solid bronze caliper guides, complete rear sub-carrier bushing replacement, 3.26 Diff from donor m3, Schroth 3 point harness, non-staggered ASA AR1 17x9 wheels, drilled rotors, Z rated Performance friction pads,
180K- Rebuilt Bosch starter
220K- Magnaflow 36004 catalytic converters (CA legal for 95) installed, rebuilt PS pump with new hoses, new head gasket with head re-fresh, new set of flow tested and matched fuel injectors from FiveO Motorsports, adjustable fuel pressure regulator mounted in a 318 battery box were the 96+ M3‘s have emission equipment mounted, new drive shaft flex disc, new transmission mounts from Rogue Engineering, rebuilt trip computer.
The story on the head gasket replacement was that I put the car up for sale at the time and a Dealer checked out the car for a friend who wanted to buy it. The Dealer took compression and leak-down test because the engine developed a slight vibration. They recommended a rebuild because compression was out of spec. I took it to my independent mechanic who I trusted, he has an M3 tattoo on his arm, and asked them to pull the head for a peek and replace the head gasket. It tuned out that the head, head gasket, and all the cylinders were fine. I had one bad injector so I replaced them with the set from Five0 Motorsports and WOW, the difference it made.
Many parts on hand but not yet installed include Ground Control rear adjustable lower control arms, 4 Yokohama A-005 Advan 230/610R 17 racing tires, Turner rear trailing arm bushing limiter kit, new electric fan and custom aluminum shroud to delete belt driven fan, high power Hella horn set, and boxes of other various pieces and parts.
