Dear All!!! From the time I have the car the ABS light is yellow on the dash. Well when scanned there is no error recorded and the ABS works just fine in the wet or on slippery surface. MY technician says could be that there is a possibility of direct current to the instrument cluster and so the yellow light is lit. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Remove what I believe to be wrong information to this model. See note in Post #6.

Hi Mayor...i need to check what you said.. I have the Right Hand Driver so the module could be where?

I don't believe your car, or mine, has this module. This was introduced on DSC III on the '97 model (09/96 and up) on 740's and 750's and became standard on all E38's in the '98 model year. The WDS sends a mix message on this. In one area it does not indicate an 'as of' build date. But when I go to look at the module (B14) itself, it always shows 'as of 09/96'.

I will be looking further into what the PO of my car thought he had fixed soon. For now, I would suggest getting another diagnostic done. Probably the standard wheel sensor or ABS module issue.

Mayor...thank you for the precise call. Well when the car was checked with BMW they had once claimed to get the module replaces. With my technician of course he is not a junkiee anyways checked all the readings at each wheel sensor with his Launch scanner , all is well with that. Apart from that The ABS is working then why is it showing the light on the cluster. What do you think?
