Hi,
my car wouldn't start and when AAA came to jump start it, we found a pool of water under the battery. I read through the forum posts and found many posts on the sunroof drains clogging. I was certain this was the issue.
however, my Indy shop, did not find any clogs in the drains (air test passed). Water was being diverted from the drains and down the right rear panel.
my Indy shop took apart the headliner and found a crack in the cassette near the drain. They where able to use a silicone caulk and repair the crack. It now passes water tests... My Indy is located in danbury, ct if you would like their contact info to discuss the issue (they took pictures and documented the process)
unfortunately I still have lingering problems from the water in the rear. Now my interior dome lights and rear cabin lights that are supposed to turn on when the doors are open do not work (switch positions checked, fuses all ok, reading lights all turn on when pressed) and I get a rear tail light malfunction control message even though all the lights function fine (searched the forum. And unfortunately it's not the grounding issue -- I tried the recommended fix but did not have success).
Any ideas what could be causing these issues and what needs to be looked at, fixed, and/or replaced?
many thanks for any advice...
