THE MAKER

My wife says I am possessed by this car; truth is it was love at first sight. I call my baby (car) Crystine. She passed away yesterday. Her ticker gave up the ghost (timing chain) :cry. It was a series of episodes that happened like a domino effect starting with me allowing a new mechanic to work on her. NEVER ALLOW JUST ANY MECHANIC TO PERFORM SURGERY UNLESS THEY KNOW THESE MACHINES. Im already missing her and she still parked right outside. Now I have to let her go. I love this forum and all the diy's and im sure I'll be back one days real soon... Hopefully, might have to fast and pray on this one. Anyways, does anyone know how much i can get for her selling her as a whole even though she's needs a new ticker (engine)? Thank in advance for everything guys... Sigh. All im hearing is Its only a car.....SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttttttttttt! The debil is a liar! WTH? #ILOVEHER

Can't you not get a ticker transplant for her? Probably much cheaper than getting another car. Just my $0.02.

^yea.

Assuming the chain did not jump the track and the engine can still run...

A pro mechanic timing job is $4000
A DIY timing job is $1500
A used engine pre VANOS is $1100, w VANOS $2500.

Selling the car with bad chain guides $1500
Parting it out $2-4000 and a lot of work and headaches.

Choose wisely.
