IBM T60 and DIS

I'm wondering if anyone has ever successfully installed DIS/connected their car on an old IBM T60. As this laptop does not have the 9-pin serial port, I'm wondering if simply connecting it to a docking station would allow it to work with no issues....or would one have to source a serial 9-pin pci card....?

Docking station should work just as well as a serial card. Just a little clunky to carry around. And a card is what, $20 tops?

Dock should work fine. Only one card that will work, and that is the Quatech SSP-100 and those run about $140

Your better off using the the dock, (Hope it assigns the right hardware address), or a machine with a native serial port.
