Hello Bimmer friends. just a quick question. With the sun visor down, slide the mirror door open and the lights DO NOT COME. The ones located in the ceiling. I have replaced all four bulbs, checked the slide mirror door and everything ok there. Could this be a fuse and if so, where is it located?

1. When you slide the mirror cover, do you hear the microswitch click in there?
2. Have you pulled the sunvisor and the sunvisor latch on the other side to make sure the wires are connected to them?

Yep, might want to pull both sides and check the wires to make sure something goofy isn't going on ... when you flip the visor down, the part of the round visor holder that has exposed metal touches the metal inside the latch (make sure the contect is sticking out where the visor can hit it even if it is connected) ... sometimes they get pulled in when wires are disconnected etc). When you slide the cover, it completes the circuit and you get light.
What you also could do when you pull the visor out is get a multimeter (or a 12 v bulb and some wire if you dont have one) and run it straight between the wires to see if you actually have power ... if you do, then either the contacts on the latch or the switch inside the visor are bad.
ps. The fuse is #43 in the fusebox under the hood.
