I saw this on ebaymotors and wanted your guys oppinion if this application would work on a US spec M42 since this guy is from Puerto Rico. Another thing that I find weird is that his feed back is kept private. Well here is the link. thanks

Definatly an interesting find. i'm wondering what kind of "machine work" it took to get the E30 M3 ITB's to work on the m42/44 By looking at his feedback info. he has a 95.2% and only 4 neg in the last 6 months which is good. all though it would be nice to know what the details of those are and why his feedback is private. The only two problems i can see with it is that you will need to custom make a airbox or intake plenum in order to hook up to your intercooler and also you will have to have very custom software to get them to work as ITB's i hear are tough to tune. in fact i think i'm gonna email that guy now.

Definitely would be cool to get that sucker running on an m42! I wonder what kind of software solution is necessary to get it functional...

ok shot emails back and forth with the seller. he has updated the auction with more pics of the plate that he had machined and the intake plenum that he modded to fit. Sounds like a nice setup the only thing i can see wrong with it is that he says it will run great with stock tuning and you might need larger injectors. to me that just doesn't seem right you would think since the air/fuel delivery is totally changed that you would need to tune the car much differently. maybe one day i will dable in this unfortunatly i dont have the money to get it from him now. all though couldn't you get the intake manifold from a junk yard for cheaper then that?
