Dis doesnt seem to connect.

Inpa no option for e30. So what's the deal? Is there something special for e30?

Their technology pre-dates INPA and DIS. You will need to do diagnostics the old fashioned way - tachometer, multimeter, timing light and a vacuum gauge. Just like the E21, BMW used to use a device called a diagnostic tester, which was basically a digital electronic timing display, tachometer and multimeter in a fancy box.

What is the 20pin connection for? Can't be for nothing! Unless the peake reader is the only thing?

Must be a really late E30, have you had a look at the BMW ETM for your car? I just had a look at the 1987 3 series ETM and it doesn't even list a data connector, just a diagnostic point, which seems to check alternator output. These things are pre-OBD1 and to the best of my knowledge the Motronic has no diagnostic output capability.

i tried it on a 92? 325i and at least dme and airbag are working (used DIS v44 if i remember correctly, but you can for example use inpa via e34 modules)
