ANy E46 wheel should fit an E36 fine right?

I need verification for this. My situation: I'm in the market for wheels. A guy on E46fanatics is selling his wheels. He doesnt know that theyll fit my E36 sedan. I tried calling tirerack but they didnt know. Ive read in numerous posts that they should fit ok. I just need a last minute verification.
