Revhigh intake for 98 540I

I got the revhigh cai for my 98 540I and am getting ready to put it in but don't know what to do with the air temp sensor that's in the factory air box. Any help would be appreciated.

I drilled a small hole in the plastic plate and stuck the sensor down through, so it is sensing the same temperature air that the filter is bringing in.

Thanks man, did you have to take your bumper off to get the factory intake tube off?

Yes, i think you have to take off the bumper to remove the snorkel. You *can* just cut the snorkel to make room for the CAI, but then if you ever wanted to go back to stock, you'd have to buy a new one.

The bumper is pretty easy to remove. Re-installing it is a little tougher, easier to line it up with 2 people. (Make sure the lower cover tucks above the bumper.)
