Performance mods for my 528xi????

Any good mods I can do to my 528xi to get some more power out of this thing. Just recently installed an AFE cold air intake and it seems to give it more jump and a nice throaty sound but i need more.

Good question. I just picked up a 2010 528i a few weeks ago and would love to get a bit more out of it. Love everything else about it so far.

There isn't much more that you can do to get more power out of your car. The intake and exhaust is about it since it is a NA engine. The only other thing that you can do, however it does not add any power, is to add a sprint booster to take away the throttle lag. With the NA engines BMW has done a good job of squeezing out as much power out of the I6 engines as possible. Just enjoy your cars and maybe spend the money on customizing the exterior.

You will get about 10 rwhp from an ESS flash tune. I would sell it and buy a 535xi. Stock, you will have significantly more power. Flash tune that and you can pick up 75 rwhp since it is a turbo and the tune raises the boost. We have an 08 535xi and like it. I ran a JB4 flash tune in it briefly.

I don't think the money they are asking for is worth the ever so slight power you might gain. The Dinan CAI is the only one I have seen to actually work. Not sure about the sound but since they are enclosed boxes the sound will only change a little. Changing your exhaust will make your car sound different vs intake.

Thanks guys. I knew going into the purchase of my 528xi that it would be a bit under powered. Figured it would be less upkeep though. Still gets me from point A to B pretty quickly and in sport mode feels great.

I def love the AFE intake. It gave me some power and is def a head turner for my xi. Sounds real nice cruisin down the highway with the windows down.
