We had an overheating problem a month or two ago and an error code popped up stating the thermostat was bad. I went ahead and changed the thermostat and everything looked great until yesterday when we had the yellow, then red overheating messages appear. Stopped the car for 5 minutes, then brought it home with no more warning.

I hooked up my adapter running INPA, and pulled a number of codes. Only thing is I did not reset the codes after I changed the thermostat. Today I wrote down all the codes and reset them. So I'll keep an eye on it. I am thinking it may be the water pump since we are at 160K with the original pump. Wasn't sure if the water pump has a code it spits out if it is going bad. When I run the bleeder test, it spits out water in the expansion tank and I can hear it turning on and off for the 12min or so cycle.

Below is a list of codes. I could not find most of them on the internet. Does anyone have a way of finding some of these codes (the ones without any comments)? I'll keep looking and post if I find anything else.

Really hoping to get some insight from these codes to help diagnose this continued overheating issue. If nothing comes up, I'll just change the pump and hope for the best.

Thanks for the help.

Time for a water pump.

Yes.

Picking one up today. Too bad I didn't get these water pump error codes last month when I changed the thermostat. There was an error code for the thermostat, but not the water pump codes. At least now the thermostat error is gone.

Thanks.
