My Bmw Remote App

Ok so I have a 08 550i and recently downloaded the "My BMW Remote app" I've got the POI from google maps to work and send to the car but my lock/unlock feature will not work. It's worth mentioning that the build date on my car is July 2008. The documentation on BMWs website states this feature is available on cars produced after March 2008. I can see the feature in the app however it always fails and tells me the car did not respond. I'm also a BMW assist subscriber which is needed for the feature to work or so I'm told. Their support said it should work but don't know what the issue is (typical) they did confirm the car was working correctly by unlocking it via their systems as well.

Does anyone have experience with this app or had similar issues.... Thanks

I gave up, it does not work with my car either.

It worked on my car. It was a neat trick to unlock the doors from my iPhone, but I never used it so I deleted it. It also stops working when your BMW assist plan runs out.
