Hello guys, I feel like a winner. After long long years, I now have my own e38(01 740i Sport). Back in 2001, when I was in high school, my father owned a 740il with sport package, but now, I have my own. I wanted this car ever since I knew about it, and I can't be happier..... even though it's not running at the moment. Wifey is not happy with my recent purchase though :nono I am already looking forward to all the information and knowledge you guys have gathered here! :buttrock I am currently putting her back together, so hopefully by this weekend, I will get her running again! Here are some pictures of my 87 Mercedes and the e38. http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/20130509_164052_zps78d5fda1.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/20130509_164052_zps78d5fda1.jpg.html)http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/20130501_192606_zps99989e0d.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/20130501_192606_zps99989e0d.jpg.html)http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/20130501_192551_zps27e2ede3.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/20130501_192551_zps27e2ede3.jpg.html)http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/20130601_141114_zpseeb2115b.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/20130601_141114_zpseeb2115b.jpg.html)http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/20130601_101118_zpsb91a2a44.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/20130601_101118_zpsb91a2a44.jpg.html)

Looks like new guides are already in place. I like the look of the 87 from the front to the rear wheel. Everything behind that is weird body wise.

Welcome. Looks like you're well on your way with the e38. Good luck with it. I like the Benz too with the exception of the taillights. Are you keeping that too or is the e38 replacing it?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I've been quite busy lately, and finally got on the forum! Good news! She is done, running smooth, minus the dreadful cooling system... ugh... I'll get there though

The merc is something that I liked since I was little. I guess that body style is hate it or love it, and come to think about it, it does look a little odd lol

Welcome aboard. I hope you get her going again soon.

What part of So Cal you from? Thanks kooljess, Shes running well, I am located in IE. Do you have a lot of gathering in socal?

Welcome :wave

The Benz looks sick too! Thank you sir!

Welcome. Looks like you're well on your way with the e38. Good luck with it. I like the Benz too with the exception of the taillights. Are you keeping that too or is the e38 replacing it? I am currently keeping both, because they are basically my fun cars, I don't have the hunger to go fast any more, so cruisers are just fine for me. I usually roll around in my '10 VW CC, great gas mileage compared to these two V8s :)

Welcome to the madness! :wave

The classic Benz is nice, I always loved the look of the SEC, one of the best front ends they ever designed.

Welcome to the madness! :wave

The classic Benz is nice, I always loved the look of the SEC, one of the best front ends they ever designed. Yes she is lovely, the v8 in her is very lively :redspot Anyway, after I got done with my e38, I haven't posted any pictures. So here are some updates. Oh btw, my gosh, I never knew how comfy this car was.... Aren't we all lucky? I threw on a replica ALPINA lip, so far so good :)http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/771f5cb4-c8d3-457d-81ef-32e11117628f_zps44618886.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/771f5cb4-c8d3-457d-81ef-32e11117628f_zps44618886.jpg.html) http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/6f66c726-d469-4d9f-8f5d-2f5c9e8cbab6_zpsc610aa28.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/6f66c726-d469-4d9f-8f5d-2f5c9e8cbab6_zpsc610aa28.jpg.html) http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b624/euromadness/0eacaf19-7fbc-473c-97ff-9db00d66f550_zpsb94dcb01.jpg (http://s1295.photobucket.com/user/euromadness/media/0eacaf19-7fbc-473c-97ff-9db00d66f550_zpsb94dcb01.jpg.html)
