Hello bf.c,

I want to start a group buy for the S54 harness conversions and ECU tuning. These harness are as proper you will get without being from BMW. Everything is properly re-pinned to mate to the factory body harness with no splices or solder. This makes for years of reliability and no headaches down the road. Do not be fooled with other companies swap harnesses which can be full of solder and splices unbeknownst to the end user.

The introductory pricing would be as follows, if we can get approx 6-12 people interested.

E46 M3 harness converted for e36 -- $749 (with customer provided harness for conversion)
E36/7 S54 ZM3 harness, a provided ZM3 portion (Still need customer provided e46 o2 and coil portion of the harness for proper conversion) -- $999.00
ECU tuning (performance tune available as well at no additional cost) -- $799


This swap is 100% OBDII compatible with 96+ cars and will have no issues passing emissions. This kit will utilize the drive by wire electric gas pedal, which is actually an absolute pleasure to drive. PM for details about properly setting up the A/C. No traction control or cruise control at this time. Again, the car will retain its factory ABS system. Rev limiter can be set to customer specifications.

WoW. This is awesome. Too bad I am not really looking to do a s54 swap at this time, but interested to know what else is involved drivetrain and mount wise to support the swap?

In an E36, you reuse the E36 mount arms. The S54 has the same bellhousing pattern as an M50, so you can reuse, for example, a ZF320 and driveshaft.

More than just the motor mounts can be reused my friend, much more :)
