Im ready to order my Hamman HM 2 wheels. On the site where i would be getting them from they offer two different offsets. One is 38 and the other 13. I was wondering what the difference is. are the lips bigger on the 13. If i could i would like to get a bigger lip on the rear. Also if i wear to get the 13 offset for the rear what size tire do you recomend. I have in my possesion Goodyear Eagle F1 that i picked up Brand new for 400 dollars. they are 225/40/18
here is the website

yes the lip is bigger on the 13" offset.

if you have an E36, there is no way 13" offset will fit your car even if you roll the fender. serious professional fender work is required.

38" offset will work on an E36 all around. i am quite sure that the width of the HM2 is 8.5", you might have to roll the rear fender a bit. the front will be alright.
