Folks, I noticed a tear( crack from wear and tear ) on the front driver seat leatherette upholstery. Shall I go to a dealer or DIY?

If DIY, what do I do. The tear is 2 inches long.

Replace the whole seat. It compromises your safety.

Try an upholstery shop. There are several ways to fix a tear, depending on where exactly it is.

Anyway! An upholstery shop sounds like a good idea. I was joking about replacing the seat but maybe you can use this as an opportunity to upgrade the driver seat to leather.
