I am looking into a convertible BMW. Started looking at 2002/2003s but the more I ponder the more I think Ill dump my car and make it a year round driver with snow tires. Originally was going to look for a 328 but the more I think about it maybe a 335 is doable. I have a lead on one (at a dealer) but I am concerned about the 80,000 miles. Its a 2009 in what looks to be in good shape and no major accidents per carfax. Price is $26,900. The turbos get expensive so I was thinking at that high of mileage I should be mindful of future repairs.
A, Is 27k too much, where should I realistically be price wise?
B, I was considering buying a 3rd party warranty that is supposedly have b2b coverage for 1800 bux 3yr/30k or 2300 bux for 4yr/48k

Price is relative to the market. In LA or Miama where BMW convertibles are dime a dozen that price would be outrageous
I would not worry. Turbos are good for 120k on these cars. ne issues would be waterpump and thermostat, they most frequently go before 100k.

120k miles ya? I guess with 80k I was just doing it does peace if mind. For 2k if I had a major repair it would be covered is how I looked at it. What about suspension issues over time? Not reading such favorable reviews about these warranty companies even thought they claim to cover every last thing.
So in the Midwest what so u think I should offer for the car. There are plenty of used with lower miles but I want to finance in the low 20s.
There is an amazing 07 I found but not through the dealer that offers .9 financing.

That being said, start your offer in the low 20's. I have never paid sticker price on any car, new or used.

We don't know. Go to autotrader. Put in your zipcode and search a 100mile radius to find what is out there. Also try Craigslist. This forum is not fueled by unicorn piss, you also have to do some work.

We just bought a 2009 328ix coupe with 27.5 K miles for $27K. That price is WAY too high for 80K miles.
Cars.com is a good way to search.
You can appraise used cars at Edmunds.com and see whether they are realistic. I've found their numbers are pretty accurate.
