M5 sport seats in a 530

Wiring gurus,

Big wiring noob here. who has wired in sport seats into their car? I have a '94 530 and cannot find a single wiring diagram for this and would appreciate any help.

If they are sport seats from an M5 and have no memory they should be plug and play as I recall. If they are from a 540/6 or M-Sport then they will have memory and it's slightly more complicated. There have been write ups around here before putting memory seats into a car that did not have memory.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with memory.

But, I'm putting in manual sports anyway, so wiring doesn't matter anymore :D

contemplating adding heat though, as my car was wired for it with the comforts.

Yeah looking for the memory write up. I wish it was just plug and play. But then again doing electrical work can be a shocking experience if you're colorblind and not totally sure what you're doing. :eyecrazy

There are several threads that cover this. You will either need to rewire the seat itself or find an intermediate harness from a memory seat car.
