Is there any way to disconnect the hill holding brake feature on my '06 330i automatic? Seems to be transmission related. If I bump into neutral, hill holding de-activates and the brakes are like any other car which makes for easier creeping in the garage!!
Thanks

You might be able to code them out; not sure. No idea who has the coding knowledge.

Au contraire, I extremely like this feature!

As do I. It works great on the steep streets of Seattle (even with my auto it's good.) On my son's 6MT, it's even better.

I like it, too, especially when some bozo pulls right up to my butt on a steep hill. Just stay off the brake while creeping in the garage and it will leave you alone.

The hill holder is one of the most clever inventions around.
And it isn't new to BMW - my mother's 1950 Studebaker Champion convertible had a hill holder. Studebaker had it for years, and IIRC, Rambler did too.
