Garmin 3597 gps mounted

I posted this on another forum and received a lot of questions, so thought I would post it up here as well. I'm somewhat happy with the install. I might work on something a little cleaner in the future. Mount is from KudaUSA and the magnetic base comes with the nuvi. Drilled a hole in the Kuda and pressed in the 17mm nuvi socket. I originally installed an Amps mount nuvi ball and didnt like it. Unfortunately I had already drilled the four holes, so I had to put screws in to fill them. Ruins the look, but it will be okay for now. I do want to try and find a way to flush mount the base with the Kuda mount. I would like to move the unit closer to the dash. The pictures make it look further away than it really is, but I would like to clean it up. Anyways, hope it gives you some ideas on how to mount yours.

That is awesome. I have my Garmin wired thru the a-pillar, to the headliner, and to the rearview mirror passenger side. But what you have is clean. I don't think mine would work, its a 5".
