Hi guys,
Just looking for some feedback from fellow parts guys. I'm wondering what it's like in the BMW world. I have about 9 years experience in parts but with Acura. Does BMW do daily stock orders? What's the support like as far as part locators, obsolescence allowance, returns etc...?

Stock orders are 2 days, Next day VOR, and now with the new mega-warehouses, same-day VOR is available in some markets. Obs returns are standard like most manufacturers, 5-10% of your stock orders from that quarter of the previous year, etc. etc. Part locator is built right into BMW DCS, so if you're checking avail on a part, you can roll right into the locator screen to see which local dealers show stock as well. I've worked for quite a few manufacturers over the years, and BMW is by far the best in any of those respects.

Great feedback, I appreciate it. We use Arkona for our DMS right now and that seems to communicate fairly effortlessly with our Honda Interactive Network.
