hey guys,
I recently bought a 1969 bmw 2002 from an estate sale. After thinking about how much work this thing is going to be it's just not for me. I figure i'd throw it up here and see what it's worth on the market before selling it.

I'm pretty sure that's a Bavaria. Looks like a lot of work involved for a restoration, but should be an awesome car when done.
I'm not sure what it's worth in this shape.

I believe the Bavarias were 6 cylinders. That is a 4, however.

It also has the 4 headlamp setup, unlike the above. It is a 4 door, so it is definitely NOT a 2002.
UPDATE: BINGO!

BMW 2000 tii
Both versions of the two litre M10 engine introduced in 1965 in the 2000 C and 2000 CS became available in the New Class sedan in 1966. The base 2000 used the 100 hp (75 kW) engine from the 2000 C, while the 2000TI used the engine from the 2000 CS with twin Solex (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/wiki/Solex) PHH side-draft carburetors (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/wiki/Carburetor) and 120 hp (89 kW).[29] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Norbye142_143-29)[30] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Noakes67-30) Intended as an upscale version of the 1800, the 2000 featured distinct wide taillights, more exterior trim, and unique rectangular headlights. The American market 2000 sedans could not have the rectangular headlights due to government regulations. A different grille with four individual round headlights, similar to the design that BMW later used in the 2500 sedan, was offered in the US. The 2000TI retained the '1800' taillights and headlights.[citation needed (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)] A more luxurious 2000TI-lux (later "tilux") featured the sporty TI engine with a more high-grade interior and accessories,[31] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Norbye143-31) including a wood dashboard and optional leather seats.[citation needed (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)]
In a 1967 test, Road & Track (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/wiki/Road_%26_Track) felt that the 2000 sedan was "the best performing 2-liter sedan in today's market and the best handling and best riding as well."[citation needed (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)]
In 1969, BMW introduced the 2000tii ('touring international, injected'), BMW's first fuel-injected model, featuring Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection.[28] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Norbye144-28) The 2000tii produced 130 hp (97 kW) at 5,800 revolutions per minute and 131 lb·ft (178 N·m) at 4,500 revolutions per minute.[28] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Norbye144-28)[32] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Noakes74-32) 1,952 2000tii cars were built of this final New Class sedan model.[28] (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/#cite_note-Norbye144-28)

"This ’69 BMW 4-door is a rare find compared to the plentiful 2002′s that were sold that year. These sedans are usually pretty tattered and always rusted if found anywhere but very dry areas. This one is in super clean condition and has lived a very sheltered life in California since new. Find it here on eBay (http://bringatrailer.com/thats-an-older-listing-its-no-longer-available/#r=true&year=&car=%20) out of San Jose, California. Special thanks to BaT reader Martin M. for this submission!"
Game, Set, Match! Case Closed!
Now the question is.... how rare is this car?

On 2002faq.com there is an entire section devoted to Neu Klasse you will probably have good luck selling it there.

Yeah that's a 2000. That's going to be a tough sell as the parts are not very available for other New Klasse cars. They are more rare though. They look soooooo sexy when they are done up right as well. You aren't going to get 2500 for it though. That's maybe a $1500 car. MAYBE. I would be super interested in buying the dash from you if you would be willing to part that out. The wood inlet is so damn sexy.

to be honest i will take $1500 for it just to get it out of my parents house since i'm moving back from college and I just don't have the room for it I also have a stack of receipts to go with it (from the previous owner)

Here is the link to the NK forum in 2002FAQ. They are back on line. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/forum/20-nk-general-discussion/ there is also a 'cars for sale" page .

car doesn't run right now, I could make it run for a little extra (price of parts) if i have the buyer come through, and thanks tomscat1 i'll post it tomorrow

OP, that looks like the one I saw tooling around Venice last year. Had me rubber necking to see what it was. Good luck with the sale.
