question about used tires...

i badly need new tires but i am broke
i definitely have to buy some used ones

can someone please explain one thing to me?

how can you tell how much tred the tires have left?

lik 8/32 6/32 etc..
what does that mean

what is the max and min level of treds?

Go to tirerack.com and look up the tire you are looking to buy. Click on the "Specs" link, look down the list and find the size it will list the new tread depth, usually something like 10/32nds. A tire is usually done at 2-3/32nds.
