When I bought my 2005 E91 wagon there were a couple of loose plastic parts lying in the trunk. They are symmetrical and seem to be both broken off at the narrow ends.
See attached photo.

Does anyone know where these come from??

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

Have you tried to identify them using REAL OEM?

Yes, I couldn't find it with a visual search. And there is no part number printed on them. The part number must still be on the piece from which they have broken off.

Just wondered if it could be the end piece from the carrier for the load area cover- the end of the part just above the number 9 in this diagram:

They look like carriers to me. Since you found them in the load area, why not have a hunt around in that place and see if anything looks missing..?

Wrong. They are the covers that go on the end of the seat rails for the front seats

At least I'm pretty sure. Hard to tell from the pic

I'm gonna have to agree with White. They definitely are some kind of cosmetic cover, probably for the seat rails.

I looks like part # 17 here (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=VT13&mospid=48840&btnr=52_3185&hg=52&fg=10)

Found it, White94RX is right, indeed I'm missing 2 of the front seat rail covers :D

I get that all the time at work. Customer finds a broken trim piece and i get to find where it goes. 90 percent of the time, it's the seat rail covers
