its all about the sleeper now, im gonna leave it somewhat stock on the outside then all go under the hood!

Welcome to the club... I've been there and done that, and am even thinking of painting my custom CF Hood black just to keep that sleeper look...I say all 4 17x8.5 wheels, and bbks under them, nice twin screw sc, and you'll eat them alive...

Im working on a sleeper myself. I just think that the surprise factor is refreshing. Its led to many fun encounters that leave the other guy thinkin wtf just happened

A CRX makes a VERY NICE sleeper. Just drop in a B18C1 (GSR) motor and call it a day. A light weight car with 175 hp=PERFECT sleeper.

Or a CRX with an H22 (Prelude) motor= However, the handling would suffer.

I don't think I would ever consider a BMW a sleeper. Most people are under the assumption that they are somewhat quick. A Cavalier, Probe, Neon, Civic (not so much these days) make good sleepers

Yeah but most of the time if you see a CRX from a distance and see a non-stock exhaust pipe or something of that nature, the sleeper quality is lost. You have to think that every Honda/Acura out there has something nasty under the hood.

And Vic328CSi: NICE Ride. I haven't seen you post before, your ride sounds awesome! Do you have a cardomain page or something like that?

unless you have forced induction,
you have no chance against 4 cylinder econoboxes

i agree BMW has too reputible of a name to be a sleeper, all i can do is make it look all stock, i asked like 5 guys to race that night and they were all like naw man bimmers are way too fast

its that generalization that i love, everyone thinks bmw= speed, its a good thing BTW
lol
that crx i raced, he had 22,000 in mods to his car, mostly appearance, body kit paint ect, he did however drop some sort of new engine in it, cant remember the name, had 170HP though, and it was a 5spd
though the engine was a stock engine it was brand new state of the art, and his crx was an 88'

oh well,

Turbo it. and put a 318i badge on the back of your car. The looks on their faces when they hear the car's blow off valves would be priceless.

Oh, I don't know, I'd call a stock looking Z3 3.0 (not even an M) that runs 11's a sleeper... :D

except for the under hood explosion! j/k

I was thinking of debadging the m but the quad tail pipes kind of give it away.

Still think the ultimate sleeper stock is the rs6

Main thing to do with you bimmer is an s50 or s52 swap with either turbo or s/c. Then you will be one hell of a machine out in the field.

my car is kinda a sleeper. Its lowerd and has clears all around, but stock 325 wheels and bumpers mirrors and needs some repainting to fix the gray bottom. But under the hood it has an s52 and inside is about 250+lbs less than usuall. see sig for the rest of my mods. I plan on supercharging it after I get the M3 bumper side skirts, bumper and mirros. then I will go and paint it the factory black and have a nice car but still imo a sleeper for as fast as it will be. Ohh Im going to be buying some m3 lightweight wheels before the paint and body work.

mines an auto
the crx is a 89 crx si with intake headers and exhaust i think it has like 100ish hp stock but they are VERY light
the cavaliers were the z24's

2700lb ti with a 310bhp motor, now that is a sleeper :devillook
