Seems like quite a few of the e38s are planning to show up at Bimmerfest West. KoolJess has set up the breakfast meet at Denny's and the drive to the Rose Bowl on this thread:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1947416-Official-Bimmerfest-2013-who-s-going&highlight=bimmerfest
The fest goes from 9am to 3 pm. We will all be tired, hungry and thirsty after a long day in the sun (bring sunscreen and water, lots of water)
KoolJess and I were discussing the possibility of all of us going to a local place in Pasadena and enjoying a nice dinner as a group. We could do a standard like maybe the Cheesecake Factory, or, my personal preference is to go to a more local establishment that embodies the old time Pasadena atmosphere. For those of you that know the area better, please make suggestions. Since B-fest is over at 3 pm, I assume we can be out of there and make the dinner by 5pm and those that need to get out of town can leave by 7 pm.
Jess and I would like to see what the interest in the dinner would be and any suggestions for a cool place to go. Personally, I think it will be a great way to end the day. Please respond to this thread so we can get a general idea and within a couple weeks we'll need confirmations to set up a reservation. See you all at the Fest! :redspot
So I misspelled Fellowship, Iceman, can you edit, can't figure out how.

Sounds like a plan to me. When all else fail I am sure the usual suspects will be there.

If we are still going we are probably driving into cali Friday night. If I had the money and time I'd get the front end done on the 98 and have a his and hers there.
Anyways its Friday we drive to Cali. Spend Saturday at the fest. Saturday night or early Sunday drive home. Of course pending I'm gonna make it.

Even though I am extremely busy, I would be willing to help set up something in Pasadena as it's the town I live in. Just let me know per head budget and the type of fare everyone would be interested in and I'll post up some hand picked choices. i.e... italian, mexican, standard continental, Thai, Chinese, yada yada....
I can then make some arrangements to help out.

I'm close to getting this trip past the goalie! If all works out my buddy and I will stay in Vegas. I'll drive out for the day of festivities while he does his Vegas thing then I'll drive back to Vegas later that day when it's over. What - it's only like a 5 hour drive right?

Five hours? Vegas is about 3 1/2 at slightly higher speeds. And you will be going against the usual weekend traffic to Vegas so you should travel well.

Perfect - that works for me. I'm sure traffic will be clicking at those higher speeds - hopefully...

Huh?
Ed, can you give us a few options of a classic place in Pasadena that all the locals love to go to and dinners for about $20. I'd say we will have about 10 for now, but may grow.

I think that it's kool for Raudi Driver to lend us a hand in doing the leg work for the local hangout joint in Pasadena. But, at this time, I don't exactly know what all the people like until we actually see them at Bimmerfest. Looks like we might have to play this by ear. But, like Kouks says we might just have at least 10 or so people.

Its a month away. Hard to gather people a month away.
Revisit this a week before the event and people will have actual plans.

If I make it to Bimmerfest, i'd be interested for sure - but have no plans to bring the E38 this time.

No e38 means you get to sit at the kids table!
I don't know if you can fit the Alpina lips in the e39 cabin. They no kidding go from the radio to the rear downed armrest in the iL.
