Hi guys,

I couldn't find the thread about this issues anywhere. I have an issue with my self leveling headlights. Last winter, I went to a car wash and since then, when there's mist, rain or snow, my auto leveling go crazy. It goes up and down up and down. When its warm out, everything is fine. Anyone has an idea what the problem can behttp://images.bimmerforums.com/images/icons/icon5.png

When the car turns on they usually go down up down, hence the auto leveling, mine do it every time I just notice it more when it's foggy as I see the reflection in the fog

If it's going up and down upand down while your'e driving, that's a problem. Likely has something to do with the sensor located on the left front or right rear (or was it right front and left rear?) Anyhow, there's a box attached to the body that has a small connecting rod that attaches to the front or rear lower control arm. One of the sensor's connectors may have come loose or the sensor may be cracked allowing water into the sensor .... lotsa possibilities.

Hi critter7r, do you have a picture that indicates where that sensor is? I'll check it out as I'm still having the same issue. Thanks for the help!
