Nice a v12 tuner chip! Speed delimited

Came across this on Ebay. What do you guys think?

The Dinan 750 has the power around there, but for under $200, that seems really cheap. I wouldn't touch that.

The V12 has two ECUs and an EML to sync them. It doesn't say if you need two, or if it goes on the EML, plus it says it requires soldering on to the ECU board.... tricky stuff.

Even if I had a V12 and the money to do it, I wouldn't risk screwing up my car's computers resulting in a $6-10 thousand dollar lawn ornament.

I am slightly tempted but not in the mood to do soldering and would want to see a few testimonials before purchasing. I know someone in Las Vegas managed to do it on an 850 and said it was extremely difficult.

I will be looking into the v12 obd2 stuff soon, after the v8 tuning is complete (only a little bit left)

To me, the Ebay ad seems BS.
1. You do not chip an OBD2 computer, you re-flash it. Chipping is possible, but usually only done as a repair or after the DME was bricked for whatever reason. Chip tuning is not better like the ad says, because reflashing is so much easier and faster. Yes, you can flash back to stock, unlike the lie in the ad.
2. No details of anything, other than that he knows the engine code of the 750i/850i.
3. Why is it so cheap? Amount of time to research and develop a proper tune, especially a beast of a complex setup like an M73, plus dyno time/fuel cost/other costs. Do they really sell that many of them to even get their research/tuning money back?

Heh, I think it's awesome that Dud does this. I used to mess with flashing chips over 20 years ago but never did a car. what is the data look like dud? is it hex value?
