are the two purple relays to the right the wiper relays? theres no water in the area but the contact points are a bit corroded. im going to the junk yard tuesday to get a new wiper motor just in case and will be replacing both of these relays as well.

thanx. ill be fighting with this for the next coupla hours...welll days if you include me going to the junk yard.

The battery vent gases can corrode stuff above it if the vent hose is not hooked up. That is if it needs to be of course!

These relays are under the hood. No batt gases up there.

Weird, mine was the tan colored relay. My wipers stopped working about 5 months ago so I replaced the relay. No problems since :)
Edit: If you dont want to get new relay(s) just open them up and clean the corrosion off the contacts inside. Mine was a mess when I opened it up.

The two trigger wires on the bottom of both relays pulled out. I rewired them both.

Facelift has a single dual-stage tan relay. The pre-facelift have the two purple ones.
