Hi Everyone:

Im new to the forums and am looking for some input on a vehicle I am considering.

The car is a 2010 white 335i drive with 44k miles. M Sport, NAV, Cold Weather, Premium, Logic 7, xenon's, ipod with hard drive...

The car is also CPO'ed - price is 33K

Any input would be much appreciated to a new member, and potential firs time bmw owner. Thanks!

I think it's a fair price... I have been researching 2010 335 xi for about 5 months.. Pulled the trigger about 10 days ago... Make sure u run a car fax!!!

Check out my earlier post this week, got price and miles in it..

Sorry... My earlier post said fair price... But in comparison to what I bought, i see ur post has much more mileage... If ur buying at dealer, than I think it's marginally a little pricey, I bet u can talk them down to the fair price...

Also I recommend car auctions for best deals, only if ur comfortable buying a car u have not driven, which is what I did...

I appreciate the input, but I dont think it would be wise to compare the vehicle you purchased to this vehicle. Thanks though.

Prices vary depending on location. So comparing prices of vehicles from different locations are fairly pointless.

Look at other similar cars in the area (dealer and private party) to get an idea on a reasonable price range. At the end of the day though, as long as you are happy with your purchase is really all that matters. Some people are willing to pay more for a car then others.

There isn't a similar car within 200 miles. Thats the problem.

I paid a little bit more for mine but I also purchased in San Francisco from a BMW dealership with as CPO and with the extended service (and clutch warranty). I was in the same situation where there wasn't a car with the same combination of features within 500 miles which ultimately made me pull the trigger. For me it was more important to have what I wanted than to save a few bucks.

Good Luck.

Actually I think that's a pretty fair price with CPO, Nav, M-Sport AND xDrive. If It wasn't CPO I'd say no, but being CPO I think it's a good deal. xDrive and Nav are both pricey options.

To OP Idk if I'm late to the party with this post, but wholesale at the two major auctions with the options you mentioned is around $26,000 with those miles and retail is right around $33,000. So yes for a CPO'd car that is a good buy imo.

Carfax is BS 90% of the time it only has maintenance records and yearly inspection dates. If anything major was done to the car it wont show it, because the people who are supposed to do that get paid crap so they figure "why bother doing more when I get nothing more out of it" Only purpose it serves is that you're able to see if someone swapped out instrument clusters on it or not.

I live in Chicago. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a CPO 2010 335xi coupe with 24K miles, NAV, M package, cold weather package, L7 logic, premium package, back up sensor, spoiler (think its part of M package), etc. pretty much loaded. The car had brand new performance tires, but since they didnt follow BMWs specs to certify it, they had to replace then with a brand new set. (At first they weren't gonna replace them and that would of meant no CPO). On top of the standard CPO warranty, they through in a 5 year 100K full BMW full warranty for free. So I won't have to pay for brakes, rotors, services, oil changes, etc, and its attached to VIN so helps with resale value. I paid 36K (they were asking for 39K)

thanks for the input. That tells me this is a pretty solid deal. Only worry is the mileage being 45K
