Need help with radio.. E36 stock radio

I have the code and everything. Connected new speakers.. Put the security code so it works checked fuse in the back.. Then checked all fuses.. But idk what's wrong because I play it and I don't hear a sound.. Can anyone help me please

Connected new speakers to ... where exactly? Existing wires or straight into the radio? Did you do anything to/with the factory amplifier in the trunk? etc ... gonna need more detail than "put new speakers in, no sound" ... that's really vague.

I connected the speakers to where the old stock speakers were.. I checked al the wires in back and everything is connected.. But I did not check the amplifier wire in the back didnt know that.. But that's all I know

Is the volume way down or on mute or something?

Not on mute or and volume all the way up.. Still.. I just put new speakers in the front and that's it.. Nothing else new everything is stock..

Was your stereo working before you added the speakers? Sounds like an amp issue.
